About Club de Golf La Cañada
Club de Golf La Cañada is an 18-hole golf course located within the prestigious Sotogrande urbanisation in San Roque, on the Costa del Sol. Founded in 1982, the course features a unique dual design — nine holes by Dave Thomas and nine by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr.
The course plays to a par of 71 over 5,841 metres, with entertaining fairways, fast greens, beautiful tree-lined holes and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. The back nine, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., is particularly renowned for its challenging layout and stunning vistas.
Open every day of the year with an average temperature of 22°C and over 320 days of sunshine, La Cañada is one of the busiest courses in Spain with nearly 60,000 rounds played annually. The club has over 1,000 members and offers some of the most competitive green fees in the region, starting from just €18.
The club features excellent dining facilities, a driving range, and a welcoming atmosphere for both members and visitors. Its exceptional quality-to-price ratio makes it a firm favourite among golfers in the Sotogrande area.
